Air Fryer Frozen Chicken Wings Recipe
Air fryer frozen chicken wings! These air-fried chicken wings are easy, delicious, and cooked to perfection. The chicken wings are juicy, crispy on the outside. This recipe cooks from freezer frozen into delicious, juicy wings in a few steps.

- 2 lbs (1kg) chicken wings frozen
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- ½ tbsp salt or to taste
- sriracha sauce optional
- buffalo sauce optional
- ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing optional
Place frozen chicken wings in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 8 minutes at 400F. (If using thawed chicken wings, skip this step).
Break apart the chicken wings, and transfer to a bowl. Remove any liquid from the drain pan and basket. (If using chicken wings separated into individual pieces, skip this step).
Add the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, oil to the chicken wings and toss.
Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, air fry at 400 F for 10 minutes.
Flip the wings and cook for another 10 mins. If using a thermometer, the internal temperature should be 165 F.
Bring out the chicken wings, toss in dry rub, sriracha, or buffalo sauce, and enjoy!.
Tips
- You can use any dry rub of your choice to season the chicken wings. Some of my favorites are lemon pepper, cajun, peri peri, and jerk seasoning.
- Don't overload the air fryer basket. It's best to arrange the chicken wings in a single file and not over each other.
- Do not use Aerosol in your air fryer, use a spray bottle or brush to apply oil to food in the air fryer.
- Clean air fryer basket tray after cooking each batch if not using parchment paper to avoid smoking.
- Cooking time may vary based on air fryer model, and thickness of the chicken wings so adjust time accordingly.
