- 300 g Pasta
- 1 Canned Tuna in olive oil
- 1 medium Onion chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon Black pepper
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 1 5g stock cube optional
- Salt to taste
- Parsley
- Parmesan as desired
In a pot, boil the spaghetti till it is aldente.
Start making the tuna sauce when the pasta is almost cooked- In a separate pot, add olive oil and place on medium heat, then add chopped onions. Saute the onions till it's soft and translucent. Add minced garlic, and fry for a minute.
Add Italian seasoning, black pepper, stoclk cube and salt. Stir then add the canned tuna.
Add the boiled spaghetti to the canned tuna sauce. Stir till all are combined.Garnish with parsley and parmesan (Optional)Take it off the heat and serve.
- If you want to make it creamy, add 250ml double cream to the pan after adding Italian seasoning and black pepper. Let it simmer for 2 minutes before adding pasta and mixing.
- You can substitute Italian seasoning for mixed herbs or Cajun seasoning.
- If you have spinach in the fridge, you can add this.
- It's best served when hot.
