- 1 kg Boneless chicken breast or Boneless chicken bites
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ¼ teaspoon Garlic granules
- ½ teaspoon Onion granules
- ¼ teaspoon Black pepper or to taste
- 1 5g stock cube optional
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
Buffalo sauce (Optional)
- 3 tablespoons Butter
- ¼ cup Hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- ¼ teaspoon Garlic
- ⅛ teaspoon Paprika
Make the sauce (Optional) - Melt the butter, add hot sauce, honey, garlic and paprika. Mix well and set aside.
Cut the chicken - Clean and pat the chicken breasts dry and cut into 1-11/2 inch cubes.
Season- Add the chicken to a bowl, then add olive oil, Italian seasoning, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, stock cube, and salt. Mix them all together.Tip: If you have the time, cover the chicken bowl with a cling film and let the chicken bites marinate for 30 minutes. Bake- Transfer the cubed chicken bites into a baking dish and bake them in the oven at 400F/200C for 15 minutes.
Remove the baking tray from the oven, let the chicken rest for 5 minutes, then serve.Tip: If you want to add sauce, like buffalo sauce or bbq sauce, toss the chicken in the sauce as soon as it comes out of the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Dice the chicken into similar sizes for even cooking.
- The seasoning used in this recipe to make the chicken bites is simple and flavorful, but you can use any flavorful seasoning for the chicken.
- The chicken can be marinated in the fridge for up to 48 hours.
- Don't crowd the baking dish. It's best to have spaces in between the cubed chicken for even heat distribution and cooking.
- Avoid overcooking the chicken, and when it is cooked, remove it from the oven immediately. Leaving it in the oven will cause the retained heat in the oven to keep cooking it.
- Rest the chicken for 5-10 minutes before you serve it.
