- 165 g Cream cheese
- 400 g Spaghetti
- 1 medium Onion chopped
- 4 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 Stock cube
- ½ teaspoon Black pepper or to taste
- Salt to taste
- ¼ cup Parmesan
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
Boil pasta till it is aldente.
While boiling the pasta, make the cream cheese sauce for pasta:Add olive oil to a skillet or pot, then add chopped onions. Saute the onions till translucent and fragrant before adding minced garlic. Stir and fry for 1 minute. Add Italian seasoning, black pepper, stock cube and salt.
Add cream cheese, and 1 cup pasta water and stir it till the cream cheese is melted to a smooth consistency.
Add parmesan, stir, and simmer untill it's melted then add boiled pasta. Mix till all is well combined.Garnish with parsley.Take off the heat and serve.
- If you have leftover chicken, fish, or steak, you can add it to the sauce. I would add it before adding in spaghetti.
- If you want to cook raw meat and add it to the sauce, you can do this by pan frying the chicken, fish, or beef in the pan and then using the same pan to cook the cream cheese sauce.
- Instead of Italian seasoning, you can substitute it with cajun seasoning, or all-purpose seasoning. You can also add herbs of your choice. I like to add a little extra parsley.
- Cream cheese pasta sauce is best served as soon as it's cooked.
