The sausage links can be cooked from frozen or you can thaw them first. If cooking from frozen, just add a few minutes to the cooking time.

How To Cook Breakfast Sausage In Air Fryer

Arrange the breakfast sausages in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd or overlap them.

Flip the sausages with a tong and continue to air fry them for another 4 minutes.

Bring out the sausages, serve and enjoy.

The internal temperature of the sausage should be 160F when fully cooked.

Here's how to cook frozen breakfast sausage in air fryer:

Arrange frozen breakfast sausages in the air fryer basket.

Set the air fryer to a temperature of 360F/180C and air fry for 3 minutes.

Use a spatula to separate the sausages into individual pieces then continue to air fry them at a temperature of 360F/180C for 8 minutes or until cooked through flipping them with a tong couple of times during cooking.

Bring the sausages out of the air fryer, and serve.

This depends on whether the sausage links are cooked fresh or frozen, their size, thickness, if chicken, pork, or, beef. Fresh breakfast sausages will cook faster than frozen ones.

To store leftover sausage links, let them cool completely, then pack them in a Ziploc or a sealable container, label them, and store in the fridge for up to 3 days or store in the freezer for up to 4 months.

They can be reheated in the air fryer, oven, or microwave.

To Reheat:

The best way to reheat them is in the air fryer. Remove all packaging, and arrange them in the air fryer basket. Set the air fryer to 350C/170C and air fry them for 3-4 minutes or until heated through.

To reheat in the oven, set the temperature to 400F/205C, arrange them on a parchment paper-lined oven tray and reheat for 5 minutes or until heated through.

Once reheated, don't refreeze.

Tips

  • No need to preheat the air fryer for this recipe.
  • Don't overcrowd the air fryer. If they don't fit at once, then cook in batches. Overcrowding will cause uneven cooking.
  • Air Fryer brands vary as well as temperature setting, air fry at less than 400F to avoid them burning outer without cooking inside.
  • Remember to flip the sausages halfway through cooking so they cook evenly.
