Easy Beef curry recipe! Yes this beef curry is easy to cook but packed full of flavours and it is super delicious. I love curries and there are so many ways i cook curries but this one here is one of my favourite beef curry recipe.

How to cook beef Curry

This easy beef curry recipe is not a dish you should rush the cooking process. It is best to slow cook to get the full flavour fall off the bone deliciousness. Marinade the beef for atleast 2 hours best if you marinate for 12 hours or more. I usually marinate overnight.

INGREDIENTS 

500g Beef
4 Tablespoons Tumeric or curry powder
1 Tablespoon Thyme
2 Thumbsize Ginger 
4 Cloves Garlic 
Handful Coriander 
¼ Teaspoon Cumin
½ Teaspoon Cameroon pepper
2 Stock cubes
2 Plum Tomatoes (Chopped)
1 Scotch bonnet (Sliced)
3 Tablespoon Sunflower oil
1 Large Onion (chopped) 
Coconut milk or water
150g Carrot - sliced (Optional) 
Salt

Step by step direction for cooking curry beef

Step 1 - Marinade
Cut the beef into bite size then add the garlic, ginger, cumin, cameroon pepper, coriander and thyme. Cover with clingfilm and put in the fridge to marinate for atleast 2 hours. I normally leave to marinade overnight.

Step 2- Release flavour and brown the sides
Add oil in the pot then add in sliced onions and curry powder. Add in the marinated beef and brown the sides.

  • Add beef into the mixture

Step 3 - Slow Cook

Add in chopped tomatoes and scotch bonnet, coconut milk or water and cover. Slow cook for about 45 minutes or till beef tender. Add in carrot and leave to cook for another 5 minutes.

Step 4 - Thicken
You can either thicken with potatoes or cornflour/water mixture. If using potato, peel it cut into 4 and add to the curry then cook for 5-10 minutes till it's thickened to your desired consistency.
If using cornflour, add water to the cornflour and mix till smooth then pour in the beef Curry. Simmer for 3 minutes then take off heat.

Step 5 - Enjoy delicious beef curry
This is where you enjoy and savor the taste of this amazing, flavor packed beef Curry. You can eat it on it's own, serve with rice, bread, pasta and any other dish of choice.

Ingredients

  • 300g Beef

Instructions

  • Add in chopped tomatoes and scotchbonnet, coconut milk or water and cover.
    Slow cook for about 45 minutes or till beef tender. Add in carrot and let cook for another 5
    minutes.
  • You can either thicken with potatoes or cornflour/water

If using Potato, Peel and cut into 4 before putting in the curry.
If using cornflour, mix with water into smooth texture before adding to curry
