Cutting chicken breast into slices before cooking it in the air fryer makes cooking quicker. You cut down on cooking time and can have thinly sliced chicken breast ready in under 15 minutes.
I like making thin chicken breast in air fryer for sandwiches, wraps, sauces, and pasta dishes. It comes in handy when I need to prepare a quick meal.
The day I shot this recipe for the blog, I used some of it in a creamy pasta and my children used the remaining to make chicken sandwiches for school lunch for the next day. It is versatile and delicious.
With this air fryer thin sliced chicken, I cut the chicken breast into slices, season it with my favorite herbs and spices or marinade, and then air fry it.
It is not only easy and quick to cook but it is also delicious and nutritious.
It requires just minimal prep and is perfect for lazy days.

Chicken breast - Boneless skinless chicken breast.
Paprika- any type of paprika is fine be it smoked paprika, hot paprika, or the regular one.
Italian seasoning- a mixture of herbs like thyme, oregano, basil, rosemary and more.
Garlic powder

How To Cook Thinly Sliced Chicken Breast In Air Fryer
Step 1- Pat chicken breasts dry with kitchen towels.
Use a sharp knife or scissors to cut the chicken into thin slices.
Tip: You can cut the chicken into cutlets if you prefer.
Step 2- Mix paprika, Italian seasoning, parsley, garlic and onion granules, black pepper, salt, and olive oil.
Step 3- Add the seasoning to the sliced chicken and mix till all are well combined.
Tip: If you have the time, cover the chicken with clingfilm and let it marinate in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Step 4- Arrange the marinated thinly sliced chicken breasts in the air fryer.
Step 5- Air fry for 8-12 minutes at 190C/390F. Toss the chicken or use a tong to flip them halfway through cooking.
Step 6- Bring the basket out of the air fryer and let the chicken rest for a few minutes.
Serve and enjoy.
How Long To Cook Thin Chicken Breasts In Air Fryer
How long to cook thin chicken breasts in air fryer is 8-12 minutes at 190C/390F depending on how thin they've been cut. The thinnest pieces will cook around the lower time range while the might take up to 12 minutes.
Use an instant thermometer to check the internal temperature of the chicken. Once it reaches an internal temperature of 75C, it's done. The inside of the chicken will be juicy and tender.
Do not overcook it so it doesn't dry out.
