This air fryer chicken skewers (kabobs) recipe is simple but amazing. The kabobs are colorful, juicy, and packed full of flavor.
Chicken and veggies are nutritious, and I like adding them to our meals as much as I can.
Making chicken skewers in air fryer is easy, and with this recipe, you create flavor-packed skewered chicken breasts that can be served as appetizers, snacks, or as a main meal with sides like rice, potatoes, and pasta.
I use a few simple ingredients in making this chicken recipe, and they are ingredients readily available in most grocery stores.
One of the advantages of making chicken kebabs in the air fryer is that unlike BBQ grill, there is no smoke, and it is easier and quicker.

Ingredients
Here is what you will need to make chicken kabobs:
Chicken breast
Red bell pepper
Yellow or orange bell pepper
Onion- I like to use red onions, but you can use brown or yellow onion.
Courgette- This is also known as Zucchini
Seasoning- Parsley, paprika, thyme, garlic powder, onion granules, black pepper, stock cube (optional), salt.
Olive oil
Lemon juice
How To Make Chicken Kabobs In Air Fryer (Chicken Skewers)
Step 1- Add the paprika, parsley, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion granules, black pepper, stock cube, salt, and olive oil into a bowl. Mix all together to form the chicken kebab marinade.
Step 2- Cut the chicken breasts into cubes and pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
A Step 3- Dice the bell peppers and onion into cubes, then slice the Courgette.
Step 4- Add the diced chicken, vegetables, and marinade into a bowl then mix till well combined.
Cover with clingfilm and put it in the fridge to marinate for 1 hour (optional).
Step 5- Bring it from the fridge and thread the chicken and veggies into the wooden or metal skewers.
S Step 6- Arrange the skewers in the air fryer in a single layer and air fry chicken kabobs for 12 minutes at 400F/200C.
Step 7- Bring them out and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
How Long To Cook Chicken Skewers In Air Fryer
If cooked at 400F, how long to cook chicken skewers in air fryer is 12 minutes. If cooked at a lower temperature, it takes longer to cook. For example, cooking it at 350F will take 15-18 minutes. You will know the chicken kabobs are cooked when the chicken is tender, the inside is no longer pink, and the veggies are tender and browned.

Let it cool completely, then wrap them in foil or put them in a sealable container before storing them in the fridge for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 5 weeks.

- If you have leftover veggies like cherry tomatoes in the fridge, utilize them by adding them to the veggies in this recipe.
- Marinade the chicken and vegetables in the fridge for up to 24 hours if you have the time. This allows them to infuse more flavors.
- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 60 minutes before use to avoid them burning in the air fryer.
- If using metal skewers, avoid direct contact with the handles as they get hot during the cooking process and can cause burns.

- Air Fryer
Ingredients
- 500 g Chicken breast
- 1 medium Red Bell pepper
- 1 medium Yellow Bell pepper
- 1 large Red Onion
- 1 small Courgette
- 2 teaspoons Paprika
- ½ teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Parsley
- ¼ teaspoon Dried thyme
- 1 Bouillion cube/ Stock cube optional
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- 1.5 tablespoon Olive oil
Instructions
- Add the paprika, parsley, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion granules, black pepper, salt, stock cube (optional) and olive oil into a bowl. Mix all together to form the chicken kebab marinade.
