How Long To Cook Lamb Steaks In Air Fryer
This depends on whether you want the lamb steaks cooked rare, medium rare, or well done. The thickness of the steaks also determines the cooking time. If cooked at a temperature of 190C-200C, the cooking times guide is:
Medium rare - 8 minutes
Medium - 12 minutes
Well done - 14-16 minutes
If cooked rare, the inside will be pink, medium slightly pink, and if cooked well done, the inside will be brown. If checked with an instant-read thermometer, the thickest part of the lamb should read at least 125F for rare.
What To Serve With
Here are some recommendations of side dishes you can serve lamb with:
Baked diced potatoes, Mashed potatoes
Onion rice, herb rice
Grilled veggies, broccoli
How To Store
Pack in a Ziploc or an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 6 months. It can be reheated in the air fryer, microwave, or oven. If cooked rare or medium, reheating can make it well done.
Tips
- If you would rather not marinate the lamb, use a dry rub seasoning mix to season them before cooking.
- Lamb steaks can be topped with a sauce such as garlic butter, lemon butter, or chimichurri.
- Resting the lamb before cutting lets the internal juice distribute evenly and settle for juicy, tender meat.
- You can adjust pepper and salt to suit your taste buds.
