Oven Baked Chicken Tenders Recipe

These chicken tenderloins are made with no breading, no flour, no eggs, and no breadcrumbs. They are made with simple ingredients, cutting out the calories from breaded or deep fried. It's flavorful, and once you try it, you will rethink breaded chicken tenders.

These baked chicken tenders no breading are perfect as finger foods, lunch, or dinner. They are high in protein and nutritious.

The chicken strips are seasoned with herbs and spices, including paprika, garlic, Pepper, and onion, then baked to perfection all in 30 minutes. Perfect for midweek dinner If you are short on time.

Ingredients

Here is what you will need:

Chicken tenders- These are known as chicken breast mini fillets in the UK.

Paprika

Garlic

Onion powder

Italian seasoning

Black pepper

Salt

Olive oil

How To Make Baked Chicken Tenders No Breading

Prep the chicken- Clean and pat the chicken tenderloins dry with paper towels. Transfer them to a bowl.

Make the marinade - Mix olive oil, paprika, onion granules, black pepper, garlic granules, salt, and Italian seasoning.

Marinate Chicken - Add the marinade to the chicken tenders and mix till they are evenly coated in the seasoning marinade.

Bake- Arrange the seasoned tenderloins on a baking tray, leaving spaces between them.

Place the tray in the middle of the oven and bake chicken tenders at 400F for 20 minutes.

Serve- Bring out the tray and let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.

How Long To Bake Chicken Tenders In the Oven

How long to bake chicken tenders in the oven at 400F is 20 minutes. Baking it at 350F takes 25 minutes. The smaller the tenderloins, the quicker they cook, so thicker chicken strips will take longer to cook.
It's best to use an instant thermometer to check for doneness. Insert it into the thickest part of the chicken, and once it reads 165F, the chicken is cooked.

If you want to know whether to cook chicken tenders at 400F or 350F, that depends on how much time you have. If you have time and don't mind the longer cooking time, it's ok to bake it at 350F.

Storage and Reheating

Let the chicken tenders cool, then pack. them in an airtight container before proceeding to store them in the fridge for up to 4 days or store them in the freezer for up to 12 weeks.
They can be easily reheated in the oven or microwave. If you choose to reheat in the oven, arrange them on a baking tray or dish and bake in the oven at 170C/340F for 6 minutes until heated through.

Tips

  • You can use any flavorful seasoning to season the chicken.
  • Ensure the chicken strips are evenly coated in the seasoning.
  • Leave spaces in between the chicken tenderloins. Don't overcrowd the baking tray.
  • Let the chicken sit and rest for at least 5 minutes after cooking before serving. This allows the juice inside to redistribute for a juicy chicken.
  • You can drizzle the chicken with a sauce like garlic butter, lemon butter sauce, or buffalo sauce.
