Turkey Steaks Recipe

Turkey steaks are a cut of boneless turkey breasts. Skinless boneless turkey breasts are cut into thin slices to make turkey cutlets or steaks. They are sold in grocery stores and because they are thin, they cook quickly.

If you're looking for a recipe for cooking turkey steaks that are juicy and delicious, this is the one for you.

This recipe for turkey steak is easy and quick and in under 10 minutes, you can have perfectly cooked turkey breast steaks that can be used in Salads, wraps, sandwiches or served with any food of your choice for a nutritious meal.

This recipe is perfect for a busy weeknight when you want to quickly get a delicious meal on the table.

I use only a few herbs and spices to season the steaks and the flavors are amazing. Less than 8 ingredients to season then cook the turkey cutlets on the stovetop.

This is one of my easy turkey recipes. It's also the best way to cook turkey steak if you don't have an air fryer.

Here are what you will need to make it:

Step 4- Place a frying pan or cast iron skillet on medium heat. Add oil to the pan and when it is hot, gently add the seasoned Turkey steaks to the pan.

Don't overcrowd the pan so there's room to flip the steaks easily. I cooked 4 in 2 batches.

Step 6- Transfer the cooked Turkey steaks to a plate. Let them cool for 3 minutes before cutting into them. This allows the juice to redistribute inside the meat for a juicy, tender meat.
Serve and enjoy.

How Long To Cook Turkey Steaks On the Stove top

How long to cook turkey steak on the stove is 4-8 minutes depending on the thickness of the cutlets. It is recommended to cook it to an internal temperature of 165F, however, they are so thin that it will be impossible to gauge the internal temperature with a thermometer. I recommend checking visually. Turkey steaks are cooked when there is no blood inside when it is cut into. The inside will be juicy and tender, and the outer golden brown.

Note that thinner cuts will cook around the lower time range while thick cuts might take up to 8 minutes. The ones I used here are about ½ inch thick and cooked in 4 minutes.

How To Serve

Turkey is versatile when it comes to what to serve with. It can be served with Salads, rice, potatoes, vegetables and more. Some side dishes I recommend are:

Diced potatoes, roast potatoes

Air fryer baby carrots, broccoli

Cream cheese pasta, creamy pasta

Onion rice

Mashed potatoes

It is great in sandwiches and wraps.

served and garnished with dried parsley.

Tips

  • Adjust the seasoning to suit your taste or use any spices and herbs of your choice.
  • Don't overcook it so they don't become dry and tough.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan. If need be, cook in batches.
